The settlement, which is the<br \/>\nsubject of a painting by D\u00fcrer, grew over time to\u00a0become a sort of fortified village. Damaged in 1703\u00a0by the cannonades of Vend\u00f4me, it was gradually<br \/>\nabandoned. Restoration work has revealed some\u00a0interesting finds such as a room decorated with\u00a0marvellous frescos which date back to the courtly<br \/>\nstyle of the first half of the 14th century.<br \/>\n<strong>Opening time:<\/strong> April &#8211; Sept. 10am till 7pm (till 6pm\u00a0Upper towers).
