“Garda con Gusto” as a tasty Half Marathon’s preview

 

One week ahead of the Half Marathon’s runners happening, “Garda con Gusto” falls as a tasteful and enjoyable  gastro-tourism event to be held from 4th to 6th November, showcasing the Garda Trentino best specialities, an exciting trip through tasting, food market, show cooking.

 

Row food is the subject of “Garda con Gusto” second edition: the carne salada (De.Co.) is the basis to achieve a tasty combination with other Northern Garda’s delicacies such as extra virgin olive oil, lake fish, broccoli Slow Food, plums, Drena, Nago, Tenno e Campi’s chestnuts (De.Co.), small fruits of valleys, Trentino balsamic vinaigrette, truffles, saffron, alp cheese, apples, honey, Doc wines, beer, distillates, sweet Vin Santo.

 

Riva del Garda’s Palameeting will be the heart of the event with free entrance from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm  (Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm). The visitors of the taste village will be delighted by local producers’ new recipes or take advantage of the special package including six tastings and six wine/beer combinations.

 

Thematic laboratories under the guidance of chef Marcello Franceschi, the Oil and Olives Academy initiatives, the catering school’s drinks and cakes, the farmers’ market in Riva downtown, educationals, show cookings and cooking contests will

enable to experience lot of surprises. Moreover, the show cooking led by the young and well-known chef Simone Rugiati on Saturday at noon will be a perfect mix of creativity and tradition.

 

By the end of each day, theatre, music and performances will entertain visitors long hours. Not to be missed another great opportunity visiting the farms belonging to the “Strada del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino” throughout the weekend.  Local producers will be glad to welcome visitors and delight them with story-telling about the making of products .
