The Apponale Tower

The Apponale Tower – Riva del Garda

Built in the 13th century, it was raised in 1555 and underwent further modifications in the early 1900s, when the historic dome which is visible in old photographs was removed. It is 34 m high and topped by a wind vane made of sheet iron in the shape of an angel which is known as Anzolim de la Tor. It is well worth climbing the 165 steps in order to enjoy the magnificent view from the top.
