24th GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON – EXTRACT FROM THE 2026 REGULATION

Trentino Eventi s.s.d.a.r.l., with the patronage of the municipalities of Riva del Garda, Arco, and Nago-Torbole, is organizing the 24th GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON, an international road race over a distance of 21.097 km, approved and included in the CSI (Italian Sports Center) race calendar in compliance with the FIDAL/EPS Convention.

The GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in Garda Trentino, starting at 10:15 a.m. from the PalaFiere in Riva del Garda. The organizers reserve the right to change the start time due to, for example, organizational and/or television requirements.

The GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON will have a limited number of 4,800 participants and will be held in all weather conditions.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Open to Italian and foreign athletes born in or before 2008, and governed by the FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation) and EPS (Sports Promotion Bodies) agreements dated November 8, 2026, as follows:

GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON (sezione COMPETITIVA)

a) ITALIAN AND/OR FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDENT IN ITALY

• Members of clubs affiliated with the CSI (Italian Sports Center) or another Sports Promotion Body (EPS) that has signed the FIDAL/EPS Agreement for athletics, or individual members in possession of an EPS RUNCARD and a medical certificate for competitive athletics (no other wording accepted) valid as of November 8, 2026. The certificate must be uploaded to the online registration form no later than 5 days before the event.
• Members of clubs affiliated with FIDAL for the 2026 season in possession of a medical certificate for competitive athletics (no other wording accepted) valid as of November 8, 2026. The membership must be valid for 2026, and the associated certificate valid on the date of the event.
• Non-members of clubs affiliated with the CSI, FIDAL, or another Sports Promotion Body (EPS) that has signed the FIDAL/EPS Agreement for athletics, who are in possession of a STANDARD RUNCARD (www.runcard.com) and a medical certificate for competitive athletics (no other wording accepted) valid as of November 8, 2026. The certificate must be uploaded to the online registration no later than 5 days before the event.
• Non-members of Italian clubs affiliated with the CSI, FIDAL, or another Sports Promotion Body (EPS) that has signed the FIDAL/EPS Agreement for athletics, who are in possession of a medical certificate for competitive athletics (no other wording accepted) valid as of November 8, 2026. The certificate must be uploaded to the online registration no later than 5 days before the event.

b) ITALIAN AND/OR FOREIGN ATHLETES NOT RESIDENT IN ITALY

• Members of foreign Athletics Clubs and Federations affiliated with WA – World Athletics (formerly IAAF) for the 2026 season. A copy of their WA membership must be attached to the online registration form no later than 5 days before the event.
• Non-members of foreign Athletics Clubs and Federations or affiliated with WA – World Athletics (formerly IAAF) for the 2026 season, who possess a STANDARD RUNCARD (www.runcard.com) and a medical certificate for competitive athletics (other terms are not accepted) valid as of November 8, 2026.

The certificate must be uploaded to the online registration no later than 5 days before the event.

The certificate may also be issued in the athlete’s country of residence, but must comply with the diagnostic tests required by Italian law (Ministerial Decree 18/02/182). The only Health Form accepted for participation in the event can be downloaded here. The Health Form, valid on the date of the event, must be completed, signed, and stamped by a doctor.

Note 1: Italian athletes, even those residing abroad, must provide a medical certificate issued in accordance with the legal requirements.

Note 2: Holders of “RUNCARD STANDARD” and “RUNCARD EPS” will be included in both the overall and category rankings. They will not be eligible for cash prizes (or vouchers, bonuses, fees, or expense reimbursements of any kind), and any cash prizes won will be converted into prizes in kind.

GARDA TRENTINO HALF MARATHON (Participation for tourism and sports purposes)

• Open exclusively to foreign citizens residing abroad and not registered with a club affiliated with FIDAL or EPS, nor with a foreign club affiliated with World Athletics, born in 2008 or earlier.
• To participate, these athletes must carefully read and accept the liability waiver form included in the registration form.

They will be placed in the starting grids (according to the time indicated during registration).

Their race time will be announced, but they will not be included in the official rankings and will not be eligible for prize money.

REGISTRATION

Registration is open from March 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026 (registration must be completed by October 20, 2026, to receive a personalized bib with a maximum of 30 characters), subject to early closure once the number of 4,800 athletes has been reached.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Note: The cost of online registration fees (not dependent on the organization) is not included in the indicated fees.

• Online registration. Registration is only possible on the website www.trentinoeventi.it by bank transfer, VISA and MasterCard credit cards, or PayPal.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Registration will close at 11:59 PM on October 31, 2026, unless the maximum number of 4,800 participants has been reached. Registrations received after this deadline will not be accepted. The organizers reserve the right to close registrations early or accept registrations after the closing date at their sole discretion.

Early closures (e.g., sold out) will be announced on the website www.trentinoeventi.it.

Note: Registrations are not accepted on race day.
