Garda Trentino’s key-words
Three words: running, hiking, trail-running are immediately triggering the spark. Even more so in Garda Trentino, a territory that is the ultimate epitome of outdoors and sports holidays. Here, the fun becomes philosophy and lifestyle, which play as ambassadors for the thousands of participants in the Half Marathon.

 

The routes most frequented are the lakefront between Riva del Garda and Torbole (around 6 kilometers), the Ciclabile del Sarca from the lake shore to the Ponte Romano di Ceniga (around 10 kilometers), the one from Strada del Ponale to Pregasina (around 12 kilometers of dirt roads and climbing), and the loop around Monte Brione (around 6 kilometers, partly unpaved).

 

Garda Trentino also offers throughout the year the possibility of direct contact with all the territory, thanks to a network of hiking trails and trail-running extending over 600 kilometers. The scenic routes spread between water and mountains meet every need: from extreme competitions to the needs of families with children, always at their own pace, accompanied by breathtaking scenery. Sport, but also culture, uncontaminated places and excellent food.
People can choose from a  wide range of trails: such as the Marocche-le Valli della Luna path (5,5 km of lunar landscape and even desert, across a region where there were discovered dinosaur footprints) to one that prompts the adrenaline such as Sentiero Monte Altissimo-Prati di Nago (3,8 km, 751 meters altitude gain) to the Sentiero Castello-Monte Colodri-Monte Colt (9,3 km), or the Sentiero Monte Misone  (4,1 km).
Moreover, the GardaTrek, three circular routes of different levels to be completed in stages, along the slopes and ridges overlooking the largest lake in Italy, looks like an amazing deed to experience. The first two (3 and 4 stages) all-year-long accessible, the third (7 stages) as an absolute ride amid earth and sky, with climbs ranging from an altitude of 90 to 2100 meters.
